[1000mp] Headphone skts replacement

Hi all,

Over the past few years, both the Standard and 3.5mm front h/phone sockets 
have become unreliable. In fact the Std is now almost useless, I constantly 
have to pull/push the h/phone plug in and out to keep proper contact.

So my question ...Is replacement of the 2 sockets considered within the 
capabilities of the occasional kitchen table technician like me, or is it 
best left to the professional radio mechanic?
My concern is how deep am I going to have to dig, cct boards to remove, etc 
just to get down to these items?
