[1000mp] IPO (Intercept Point Optimization)

Well said. Unfortunately, most manuals are so unhelpful that we will do
anything to avoid reading them. The Yaesu manual is much better than most.

I am also an engineer, and one thing that repeatedly struck me during my
long and checkered career was how poor are the communications skills of
most engineers--much less average people. This is ironic, since, as
engineers, our ultimate purpose is to provide documentation of our work.
It is also particularly embarrassing that foreign-born engineers, for
whom English was a second language, are often much more competent with
written English than native-born American engineers.
