Bob,
Most likely you have menu item 8-4 set for tuned, I believe you get a
preamp tune for the high bands in this mode, try flat and I do not think
you will see such a significant change when you turn on-off the preamp
using the IPO buttons. When the sun spot cycle improves and we start
seeing 10m activity you may want "tuned" then later on in the cycle you
may feel "flat" is OK. I'm hoping that we will be pressing the IPO
button on ten during the up and coming cycle.
