Hi Alex-
A few years ago, I sold my MarkVs to get regular old 1000MPs for contesting.
Reasons-
-200W was useless to me. All it did was smoke capacitors in my ICE filters, and overdrive amps when I forgot to turn it down.
-I never did figure out what the VRF and IDBT knobs actually did. IMO, they just made the background hiss sound different.
-The AF DSP wasn't all that hot.
-Crystal filter selection in the MarkV is dismal compared to the old MP.
-I took my 200W MarkV on a dxpedition once(!). It was a pain.
