Page 70 onwards in the 1000MP series one manual shows how it can be done.
The FRB-5A relay is essential to lock the 1000MP off transmitting.
If you dont use the FP29 then you will need to provide the switching voltage to the lead that comes from the 1000MP and you will need to provide TVRT drive at a level required for the FTV and ALC if you wish.
I never found any TRV switch in my ALC unit as mentioned in the text on page 70.

Yaesu say that you will need a low level signal to drive the "many transverters that are available"
Remember Yaesu had not released the FTV1000 when they provided the 1000MP and the TVRT set menu allows 50,144 or 432 preamble ahead of the frequency readout.

The TRV jack at rear provides a low level VARIABLE from the front drive -6dbm 100mV RMS at 50 ohms on an rca plug.

Connect this to the low level RF in jack on the FTV107.

They say that the switching section of some transverters is not suited to pass thru high power RF so dont connect a foreign transverter directly to the Antenna jack, use instead the RX ANT IN for connecting the 28 MHz RX.

This allows you to keep the HF antenna on the FT1000MP and to switch to 50 MHZ via the rx antenna.
The TVR output must direct the rf drive to the RF IN Jack.

To operate if you have a TRV sw on the ALC unit place it in TRV.

Press ant RX sw to receive down converted 6M signals via 28 MHz if.

Use menu 3.3 to set the MHZ unit to 50.
his has to be done at band edge 50/28.000 or it will not be calibrated.
All this info can be downloaded in the FT1000MP and FTV1000 PDF files available online.
