Voltage drop is common on the DC version.
Quite often T8- reports.
I cannot recall the resource for remedy - however:
1. remove fuse holders from DC lead
2. shorten DC leads to appropriate shortest length
3. put a massive capacitor in parallel with the DC line - I use a 1 Farad
from Maplins.

Subject: [1000mp] Deep tone?
Just found, the effect, descibed earlier, the couple of HZ tone in the
headphones, when starting TX, can be eliminated if power is lowered.
It starts, when Power control knob is more than 9'clock position..
I am using DC version, could it be, that the power supply is too weak?
Thanks, Armin ZL1KMN
