Thanks for replay Alan,
1. In AM mode, I cannot activate PROC. That's normal. I have full output
in AM.
The transceiver works fine, without PROC switched ON. Have made some
QSO's.
Looks like, the PROC knob is not working, allways set to minimum. Loose
connection?
2. As I switched to AM and back to LSB, MONI started to work. I hear my
sound fine. But, still, this deep tone is there, when MONI switched off,
SSB or CW. In CW, when transmission starts, and even in SSB ( during the
speak), with MONI switched off,I could hear some very distorsed deep
sound, like a deep drum tone for one second. Its with internal speaker
as well, but not loud. My headphone have a very good frequency response
12-39,000 Hz, so it's really very annoying.
Like a deep drum tone. Could you please test this in your sytsem? Do you
hear something similar? Its easy to test, go to CW and just press mic.
When MONI is on, this drum is heard very shortly, after the pressing the
button and before CW tone generated. Hard to descibe, sorry for it. Is
it maybe a DC voltage?
Thanks for help,
Armin, ZL1KMN
I've just become an owner of a nice FT-1000MP.
Unfortuntely I have two problems:
1. When PROC activated, few milliwatts is the output, very little I.C.
Does not react for PROC knob rotation. Seems, that PROC is always on
minimum. No problems when the feature isn't used.
2. This one is very annoying: When goes to transmit ( can be tested
easily with CW and pressing the mic) , there is a strong deep sound in
my headphones. It's like applying DC to the phone. Same sound can be
heard in internal loudspeaker as well. Have tested with two headphones,
same result. One was 300 Ohm , second one 36 ohms. Both have very good
response for deep tones, so its allmost impossible to hear your CW
transmit for a while..
One more idea:
Btw, MONI knob and button does not have any effect as well. If I speak,
I could hear some very distorsed deep sound, not readable at all.
No another problems, the rest of the transceiver works fine...
Have you experienced these problems?
Any idea, how to fix it?
Thanks,
Armin, ZL1KMN
