I haven't experienced this problem with my non-field MkV internal keyer but
other issues made me give up and go to an external keyer, an Idiom Press
CMOS4, which I highly recommend.  As for your internal keyer, you might try
changing the keyer mode and see if the works, or just start every message
with FB. HI HI

When I load CW messages into the Mark V Field's memories with the  
FH-1 remote, I find that the process adds a "dit" at the beginning of  
every message. So to get W3ULS I send M3ULS and all is fine. But of  
course I cannot load a message that doesn't start with a "dit."

Any comments would be appreciated.
