There have been some recent posts concerning loss of RX in the FT 1000 family. I have a similiar problem that responds to the highly technical fix of a slap on top of the rig in a Yaesu Mark V. Seems like a poor solder joint. I know there have been postings describing this problem and possible fixes but as far as I can tell they describe the Field. The descriptions and photos on the VA3CR web are not the same for the Mark V. For whatever reasons (probably IQ related) I have not been able to locate the Local unit and the circuit boards involved. Does anyone have specific instructions and/or pictures for isolating the board and location of the VCO's? Pictures are even better. Thanks and hope all had a great Thanksgiving and a fun CQ WW,Howard..K2HK
