[1000mp] Re: Repair of FT-1000MP MkV

Gentlemen,

Thanks for the many responses to my inquiry about repair options for 
my damaged FT-1000MP MkV - very much appreciated !  The consensus 
seems to be for Byron Campbell, of Electronic Equipment Service, 
located in TN.  Byron is in fact booked up for the next two months 
!  He has a full schedule of repair work for November and will be 
closed for renovations to his shop during December.  So I guess it's 
January before my trusty rig will be back on the air !

As an added note, Electronic Equipment Service has an excellent batch 
of reviews in eHam.net - sixty some reviews, all extremely positive 
and virtually all rated his service as a 5 out of 5 - very impressive !

Thanks again for your comments and helpful insights - once again the 
collective experiences of the people on this list provided timely and 
valuable information to help with my problem resolution - great !  I 
hope this update will be of help to others also...
