[1000mp] MARK V FIELD SERIAL NUBMERS

Hi George and Mike,

I have a Field and I find filter selection less of a problem because I never
use the radio without software. I make all of my settings through software
including band, mode, filters and frequency (thought I still twist those big
knobs up front - ever notice how one is bitter than the other?). I use N1MM
Logger for contesting and DXLab Suite for everyday operating. Both
accommodate filter changes very nicely including combinations I cannot get
directly on the rig.

Mike:

I would make sure you like the layout and the individual radio.
I have "mental trouble" with the MarkV and Field because of the way the
filter selection is done. I like the pushbuttons on the original MP better
and secondarily the FT1000D which is a FB radio in my personal view.

GL George
