[1000mp] FTV-1000 and ALC (Lou)

Hi Lou,

My FTV-1000/MkV combination acts exactly like yours. Very little drive is required, setting on the Mk-V pwr control is about 9 o'clock and extremely touchy, that's typical from what I discovered after asking a few users the same questions you're asking when I put mine on the air about a year ago. With the 9 O'clock setting, on SSB, the Power out indicator rarely lights up more that 2 lights, CW maybe 3-4. Key down, all 5 lights lit, I see about 150 watts on my wattmeter. I don't have the ALC wired so can't help there.
