[1000mp] Mark V LCD display flickering

I have an FT-1000MP Mark V, and have very recently noticed that the light intensity of the LCD display would flicker when I would talk.  As I typically run at 100W or less, it is the barest of flickers, almost unnoticable.  In fact, I thought at first it was my immagination.  I increased the power out to the full 200W, and the flicker then became more noticeable.  Has anyone alse noticed this and/or is this normal?  I also have a Mark-V Field, and there is no discernable flicker in the intensity of its display.  Might this be an Inverter problem?  Any thoughts would be most welcome.  Thanks for your help!
