[1000mp] TCXO 4 or 6 Xtal Oscillators

Hi All
 
I am the proud owner of a FT1000MP and been following your thread on  the 
roofing filters with great interest and have decided that I'll not fit  one just 
yet as I'm not going to be contesting. I maybe wrong in my thinking  ?
 
What I would like if possible is information/help on deciding if and what  
enhancements would the TCXO units do for the transceiver if these are installed. 
 I can get my hands on a TCXO-4 not sure about a Type 6 as I'm told these are 
 hard to get.
 
Any help would be gratefully received this end.
