[1000mp] Strange behavior with my VRF/MEM CH Control

Gary, no one ever reported damaging the encoder on this reflector that I am
aware of. We are talking about rotating it at a relatively low speed.  But
of course, it is already damaged, does not work properly, and your only
other option is to replace it.  There is nothing to loose here trying to
save it.

Some encoders may be too far gone for this method to help, but others will
gain benefit.

Use some finesse if you choose to try it.  It does work for some encoders.
This is a more or less a standard option for many repair stations.
