[1000mp] FT-1000MP No power output

The Mark V will automatically roll back the power if it detects a high SWR.
Perhaps either the cable between the dummy load is bad, or the dummy load is
no longer 50 ohms.

What does the SWR meter in the Mark V say? Is the RF output control fully
clockwise? Has the output restriction in the menu system been enabled?

Was the antenna tuner on or off when the problem occurred? Does the antenna
tuner attempt to adjust itself? If the SWR is high, meaning above 2:1, with
the tuner on, push and hold the tuner button in, to force the tuner to
retune.

If this is not working, do a memory reset, and clear all the tuner memories,
and try again.

I hope your friend has the manual to guide him, and that he has taken time
to read it fully. There is a steep learning curve with the Mark V.

73 and Happy DXing,

Mike
