[1000mp] FT-1000MP No power output

Good place to start is to make sure nothing is connected to the ALC jack on
the rear....like an amp that might be reducing the power. Don't understand
the metering though...

I think there are also some menu settings that will limit max power
out...don't have my owners manual handy. Make sure that's not the problem.
What does the internal metering say about reflected power into the dummy
load? Could be an antenna tuner problem where it has failed. I believe it
is bypassed by a relay when switched off but I'd again have to look at the
manual. Should show a good match into a dummy load.

Will need a manual to get into it deeper....

Cecil...

I have a ham friend that has no internet access that also has a 1000MP. The
meter on the radio says it is putting out 100 watts but the Daiwa and MFJ
watt meters say otherwise. In CW keydown into a dummy load, it will put out
about 15-20 watts. Any ideas what went wrong with it or at least a good
direction on where to start? 73's de KC0THF/AG
