Disconnecting the antenna lead as soon as possible after it comes into the 
shack, from everything else in the shack.

This isolates the radio from antenna line EMP.

Disconnecting the mains voltage connectors or tripping the breaker
supplying the electricity isolates the equipment from power line EMP.

it from the rf-unit, when the transceiver is switched of?
