[1000mp] ext spkr jack and 1000mp original

Hello one and all...
			 Just wondered if anyone has experienced
intermittent connections when plugging in an external speaker to the
1000mp???
I thought my soldering skills had decayed badly because I had soldered a
new plug onto the external speaker leads, but when I plug it into the
radio the audio is non existent until I wiggle the plug. This happened
a few times until I realized that maybe I have a cold solder joint or
a broken connection on the jack itself. Anybody experience this? and
is it easy to repair??
