Ron,
thanks for your comments. i was not trying to diss cw dxing--i enjoy
a cw dxpedition pileup as much as anyone provided I can hear the dx,
but it was the first operating example that came to mind so I used it.
my only point was that there are all these guys who go on and on about
how wonderful a rig is, not necessarily here but everywhere on the
internet, then when you contact them you find out all they have ever
used it for is psk31 or some mode you don't operate and they have no
idea how it is with something you want to do. but by not giving the
perspective for their comments they create the impression that xyz is a
great rig for whatever.
