I made a post to the Ft-9000,FT-2000 yahoo group site stating that I was
annoyed at waiting for the FT-2000 200 watt version and would place an order
to Ten-Tec tomorrow for the Orion II. I also stated I was treated rudely by
Yaesu customer service when I inquired when the FT-2000 200 watt version was
going to be made available, so disturbed that I felt my 4000 bucks would be
gladly taken by Ten-Tec with their excellent customer service. I presently
have a Yaesu Mark V but that doesn't matter. To get to the point my post
never made it but here is the email I received from the FT-9000,FT-2000
yahoo group.....

"We are sorry you have chosen to leave the Fox Tango FTdx-9000 / FT-2000
forum at Yahoo groups.

The loss of any member is felt by everyone in the group.
However, as a moderator/list owner, I understand that needs change.
I also understand that you may already belong to several other
news groups and your time is valuable. Or possibly you
may have sold your Yaesu equipment.
If this is the case, please don't forget us at Fox Tango International
in the future if you should buy another piece of Yaesu equipment.
You are always welcome, so please feel free to come back at any time.

If there's a problem I can help resolve, please don't hesitate
to give us a chance. Should you decide to come back later,
you are more than welcome to join us again."

I never made a decision to leave this group. This is the type of letter the
list owner and moderators use with all the pleasantries. Notice the "Loss of
any member is felt by everyone in the group". Also posts I made to this
group were withheld on a couple of occasions because I did not "fit the
ideal Yaesu customer profile". Talk about censorship!

With the Yaesu Mark V you spend thousands of dollars and then some to repair
keys clicks and other
modifications yourself. More problems are evident with the FT-9000. These
radios cost over $10,000 and the problems the owners are encountering should
not be taking place. These are not growing pains as Yaesu would have you to
believe but very poor design and workmanship. These are not due to a new
product making its appearance on the scene as Yaesu would have you believe.
If the American public accepted this type of product in some other industry
there would be such a public outcry Congress would be involved.
Manufacturers like Yaesu has duped the Amateur Radio Operators with the
normal excuses but it is unacceptable to put out a product when its
development has not been fully realized. This is why the FT-2000 200 watt
version is not being made available at this time. Yaesu is trying to fix all
the problems with this rig thereby the delay on it's release but that is not
to be public knowledge as a source told me today. Neither will the retail
merchants
let on of the problems with the FT-2000 200 watt version.

Subscribe to the FT-9000, FT-2000 yahoo group and read the posts of the
FT-9000's problems. These radios cost over $10,000 and the problems which
owners are encountering. There are two good companies out there today and
both are American made. Ten-Tec and Elecraft. Excellent products. Excellent
Receivers. Excellent Customer Support and Technical Service.
Yaesu can kiss my arse.
