[1000mp] wierd problem

I have a wierd situation...   a while back i accidently turned of the MP and immediately turned it back on...and it didn't come on again.
   I checked the fuse, etc and just never got back to it for a few days. 
   So a few days later, out of habit, I reached up and turned it on.. and voila...it came on!
   So the next morning, I tried again. It DIDN'T come on. Later that afternoon I tried again and it DID come on.
   Here is the thing...my shack is in a room built into the garage. Therefore it is a very hot environment and when things heat up in the afternoon the radio works...
   OK .. any ideas out there?
