This set-up works great. I have two of Buck's
Rascals. I got a second one recently because I though
the first one had gone bad. Turns out it was a
computer problem that reset some of my MMTTY settings.
I have one of the original Rascals that is in a
rectangular black plastic box and the new one is in a
"sexier" formed container.
Mike is right, it's pretty much plug-n-play on an
MP--I'm running a MKV and you hook up the Rascal to
the serial port and sound card on the computer, run
the special MP cable to the radio, set everything up
software-wise adn you are running RTTY. One thing I
had to do was reverse the RTTY polarity on the MKV--
It is menu setting 6-1 on the MKV. I'm still not
clear about why this was but initial I was getting
reports that I was "upside-down" and when I changed
this setting everybody was able to copy me.
Good luck.
