[1000mp] no power on ssb

Hello everybody.  I have three questions.
 
The fist thing is that I have no power out on SSB from a 10 years old  
1000-MP.  I was making adjustment to the VOX DELAY with the RF power fully  CCW as 
per the manual.  While I was doing this adjustment I was leaning  over the 
radio.  The VOX stopped working.  I tested AM with full power  out as well as CW 
with full power out..  Can somebody/ anybody help?
 
 
The next question is how do I make an Alpha 99 work with this radio.   The 
amp powers up and works fine but the radio will not key? the amp.   Help??
 
 
I live in Virginia.  Who on the east coast works on these  radios.  I 
remember somebody in the Carolinas but have no address.
