[1000mp] Roofing Filter

Mike,

Back when I bought my 1st MP from what I thought was  a HAM, he wasn't,  
the IF gain was setup by the CBer to 31 thinking that it help improve 
the use on the 11 meter band.  After I got my hands on it I immediately 
reduced it to around 13.  After I did the original IF mod I reduced it 
further to about 9.  With the roofing filter I am abt a 10 on the gain 
and that maybe a touch to high.  You will not get the big S-meter 
readings but the S/N is much better. Go ahead and reduce it it is OK.
