[1000mp] Roofing Filter

I bought it new in 2000 but just got it back from Yaesu  after three months 
and many phone calls.  They lost most of their technicians before Christmas. 
I sent it in for an intermittent power problem.   They finally fixed the 
problem and replaced a diode ($.30), a transistor ($.12), and an IC ($3.18), 
but  they called me to say that "it worked fine except for 160 due to a CPU 
problem."  I told them that I only use the rig for 160 and they told me that 
they had no CPU chips available and would have to wait for a shipment from 
Japan if I wanted the have 160!!  They initially told me it would be a few 
months but the rig showed up at my door about two weeks later.  It had a new 
CPU chip ($11.37), version 2.17 (I believe my old one was 1.31).  You can 
see what yours is by going to 9-5 on the hidden menu.  I used a XG-1 signal 
generator and 50uV produced just a hair under S-9 with the preamp off, with 
the IF gain set to 31, the way it came back from Yaesu (31 is the max that 
the IF gain can go). The S meter reading doesn't start to drop until it gets 
to 17, then it starts dropping fast. Does anyone else have this high IC gain 
setting?  Maybe it's because of the CPU version.  Any comments?
