Ted: I have this exact setup. It works fine. There is an interface cable
thgat has to be purchased to go between the 1000mp and the FL7000 to enable
automatic band tracking of the amp to the radio but that is about it. The
amp should come with the ALC cable (at least mine did. The number o fthe
interface cable that came from Yaesu for this was E-767 - it is the same one
used to interface the amp to an FT767, FT-990, FT100(D) or a few other
radios.
I don't use the setup much other than for RTTY contesting. Use the MP at
low power to drive 100 W out of teh amp because of the key down effect of
the RTTY use. A couple of muffin fans on top of the amp keeps it all cool.
