[1000mp] FT1000MP and FL7000

Ted,

I used an original FT-1000MP with an FL-7000 for a long time. Be sure to
complete (or have done) the SWR Sensitivity Updates - makes for a much
better experience!!

Once that is done the amplifier is basically invisible to you (but not
silent!!). Essentially you then have a 600 watt output transceiver.

Ultimately I moved from the FT-1000MP to a Mark V and let the FL-7000 go in
favor of my Drake L-7. I like the higher power of the easy to tune and use
Drake but I miss the "invisibility" of the FL-7000.

Hello One and All,
I am just wondering if anyone is using a 1000MP
original model with a FL7000 hf amp?? I have the chance to purchase this amp
and I just want to know if there are any special requirements for pairing
these two pieces of gear together. Does anyone have any feedback on how well
they work together??? Any comments are most welcome.
Thanks
