[1000mp] New to the list and INRAD question

The instructions are extremely easy to follow. Cautions I would add based on
my experience:
If you're lucky, the coax you unplug from J2003 will have enough slack to
reach its new jack on the roofing filter board. Otherwise, you'll have to
follow INRAD's instructions (FAQ Question #1) on how to free up slack. I
found just cutting one of the cable ties to get the cable free did the
trick.
Also, practice taking these small coax plugs out of their sockets. It
probably helps using very small needle-nosed pliers around the connector
body and wiggling it out so as to overcome the initial tension. Another pair
of small needle-nose to hold the on board socket might help.
Finally, there is some controversy about soldering in the two male pins if
you're installing in a Mk V. I did it as INRAD suggested but you need to
have a very small soldering tip and know how to be careful around the
adjacent components. Also be careful not to push too far through the circuit
board. An alternative to INRAD's instructions which I have read of is to
just bend the wires slightly making a shallow "J"and solder this onto the
solder pads. Ultimately, however,I didn't have trouble with INRAD's method.
