Hello Ed:

When you get a chance, see whether the spike is sent using the MOX button on
your Mark V, or only when using the PTT switch on your microphone.  This
will give some insight as to where the problem is originating, and perhaps
to develop a work around.  If the MOX button does not generate the spike, a
separate foot switch, or hand switch may eliminate the spike.
