It is a integral part. If it is snapped into place it might well look as
though it is missing. The separation from the actual connector top is
limited by some internal stop. Try to find the lock with a thin, small blade
very carefully run up the narrow side of the connector. Patience, care, a
very stable hand and a lack of desire to 'hurry' are all good tools for
dealing with this.

I am not sure just how the clamp functions but it does not 'push' the cable
into the connector. Instead, once the cable has been inserted fully it seems
to forces the cable wire ends to make contact with the pins of the
connector. I suspect someone reading this has a better idea of the mechanism
than I do and could enlighten us both.

I strongly recommend against using any sort of adhesive for dealing with
this issue. The cable should be able to be removed if and when you need
access to the RF board bottom side. The minute you 'glue' it in place
something will suddenly fail on the bottom of the board and the CTL cable
will need to be disconnected ! [Murhpy's Law -- part 2].
