When using the back-of-the-radio "packet" socket, I found that audio is
present when the radio is not transmitting. However, I found that audio
into the "packet" socket was only sent to the transmitter if the "packet"
button on the front-of-the-radio was asserted.
I seems that one must assert the front-of-the-radio "packet" button a
second time to receive using USB.
To cause the radio to transmit once you have used the front-of-the-radio
"packet" button, might require pushing the proper button in the upper
left-hand corner.
Tell us if this helps.
