Hi Dick,
I am also a new FT1000MP owner (original model) but can ask a question or 2 at least. Did you try hooking it to the RTTY jack in the back of the rig instead of the packet? At least the FT1000MP has separate jacks for RTTY and packet.
Also, how do you like the 250hz filters in both IFs? I have the 500hz in both IFs and the 250hz in the 2nd IF, but don't have it in the 3rd IF yet. Do you think that the cascaded 250hz filters make a big difference over the cascaded 500hz filters? I do plan on getting the INRAD roofing filter in a month or so when funds allow.
