[1000mp] Roofing Filter

Well I put in the roofing filter, NB mod and a 250 Hz filter.  I put it all back together, plugged my Elecraft XG-1 to it and turned it and the radio on.  Last week when I got the XG-1 the 50 uv signal gave me exactly S9.  With the roofing filter in I got S5.  My 9-1 reading was 13 and so I started increasing it.  After about 19 the reading stopped climbing and never went above S7.  Any ideas?

I've checked to make sure the two wires that I had to solder in were not shorted to chassis ground or together.  I unplugged the coax going to J2003 and plugged it into J1 of the roofing filter.  Then I took the supplied coax and went from J2 of the roofing filter board back to J2003.  So all that is right.

Got any suggestions?
