I have owned two late '95 models since new. One had the "15/12m"
RF problem (added the grounding tape, TU W4LDE!) and the other
already had that mod done new. There's been a few service bulletins
over the years, but nothing major that I recall. Both have been free of
any problems to date that I can really track back to them. 

You might want to check the archives though ... as it seems as there
was a batch or two over the years that seemed to have to QC issues, 
a read of the old messages might help to narrow down a date range?

My MPs have all the stock/optional Yaesu filters, as that's all that was
offered at the time ... Today, I'd probably nod for the INRADs as they
worked FB when I used a TS930S here way back when ...
