[1000mp] Original 1000mp the Best

Well, I have only had the basic 1000-MP. Bought it used at Cary, NC Hamfest 
in 1996 so its about 10 years old, I guess. I haven't had any problems with it 
at all. I never mod it and seldom tweaked anything on the menu. I could not 
ask for more than the solid reliabilty that I've enjoyed. I have not used it in 
contests much. I've made about 7500 contacts in the last 9 years or so. Thats 
not much but thats pretty much the way I operate, a few a day, almost every 
day.
