Hello All,
 
I would like to suggest against the setting of 9.1 to get an S9 signal with  
50 uV signal.  Think about this for a second, are we calibrating the S  meter 
or do we want the receiver to have the best weak signal reception?
 
Instead my thoughts are that the roofing filter should be installed and  then 
find a weak signal on the air (i.e. S-0)  close your eyes and adjust  9-1 
until you get the best reception of the S-0 signal.  
 
The reality is that I don't care what the S meter reads, my goal is not to  
calibrate the S meter but rather to have the most quiet and sensitive  receiver!
