[1000mp] FT-1000MP panel switches not responding.

Hi Group,

I've just taken delivery of my first FT-1000MP and it has arrived with a 
fault. After switch on, none of the front panel switches respond, which 
mean I can't get into the menu system or even do a complete CPU reset. 
I've replaced the backup battery with a brand new one. hoping this was 
going to cure the problem, as this seems to be the major culprit of this 
symptom, but it's still faulty. The FT-1000MP is about seven years old, 
but in good condition. Any pointers would be most welcome, thank you.
