[1000mp] Odd tuner behavior

Dear Brian:
    It is unfortunate that the radio provides no information about the tuner
memories.
    What I do to avoid the problem of exhausting the tuner memory locations
is to write down on a 3x5 card the exact frequencies that were used when
asking the tuner to tune.  By always returning to the same frequencies when
needing to ask the tuner to tune, the old settings are replaced rather than
a new memory location being used.
    So I have a set of "tuning" frequencies such as:  3510, 3880, 7010, and
so on.
    I had to purge memory once prior to this scheme.  Once is enough.
