Hi again Steve, I run the dc version here also but dont suffer the breakthrough that you describe.
People on the reflector have mentioned in the past, thumps and clicks in the sidetone and monitor and i must admit that the 1000mp is not the best, in fact was only last night using a friends TS850 at the local club and that knocked the spots off my 1000mp.
Your problem sounds a lot worse that a healthy rig, and
it sounds a bit expensive to have professionals trace the fault !!!!!!!
If your handy at pulling things to pieces and reassembeling them i would have a go myself.
As in my first e-mail to you, i would do the easy things first like check all the inter PCB conections and chassis bonding.
Just as a wayward thought have you monitored the 13.8Vdc supply on the rig meter when transmitting with 100watts out my meter drops one bar.
Because the problem has got worse over time it sounds like the rig was fine when it was younger 'yes' could be as simple as a failing plug/socket connection, a screw coming loose, or hopefully not..... a failing decoupling capacitor.

That about all i can suggest Steve.
I wish you luck.
Graeme.
