[1000mp] Memory Refresher

It is my memory that in sending CW the Mark V gives off a click-type 
noise in the headphones on every dit and dah. I haven't owned one in two 
years, but that is what I recall, and I also seem to recall that the 
click is not very noticeable/bothersome as long as the amp relay is 
disabled via the menu. Can anyone confirm this?

My FT-920 gives off quite a loud report in headphones on the break of 
any dit or dah in full break-in mode and at the end of the delay in semi 
break-in, which leads me to suspect that in this area at least the two 
radios do not share the same audio chain since I do not recall being 
irrtitated by the Mark V in this regard. It's a shame, because with the 
INRAD filter board mod the 920 is a quite respectable receiver with 
better DSP NR. But those headphone clicks are just too loud.
