Hi Bill,

How about comparing a Harris RF-5000, or a Rohde & Schwarz XK2100L, to a
1948-vintage British Army Wireless Set No. 62? (An ex-Royal Signals ham
buddy had this to say about the 62 set: "Bloody awful piece of kit.")

All the technicians I have ever dealt with at the Icom America, Icom Canada
and Yaesu service centres were hams, and were knowledgeable and helpful.
Both Mike Kruger and Jerry at Yaesu assisted me very well with some
Quadra-related questions. My Quadra has been running flawlessly for over six
years, with various Icom exciters.
