Yes. I use as VS-com 8-port adaptor with my Mark V and KAM (and an Icom CI-V
interface, a Kenwood TS-2000, a home-brew CW interface, an M2 rotator
controller, an SCS PTC-Iie, and a KPC-3):
http://www.vscom.de/produkte/vscom_usb-8com.html . VS-com also has a 4-port
version: http://www.vscom.de/produkte/vscom_usb-4com.html /
When you start looking at rig control and logging applications, take a look
at DXLab, which is free: www.qsl.net/dxlab .

Subject: [1000mp] *** FT1000MP Rig Control via USB/Serial Adapter ***
I am buying a new PC for the shack. All new systems seem to have only one
serial port. Ideally, I would like to have three. One to connect the MP, a
second port for KAM (DX PacketCluster), and a third port for a dial-up
modem for
faxing. I have a Quadra amp attached to the MP and love the automatic band
switching from the PC logging program (HyperLog). I also plan to upgrade to
a
better rig control and logging program (not sure which one yet). Can I
connect
my MP (and for that matter the KAM) via a serial to USB adapter or are
there
issues? Thanks.
