[1000mp] Elecraft

I know this is off topic but I would very much appreciate other opinions. I 
am considering buying an Elecraft K2 but I feel they are grossly over priced 
for what they are. Am I on my own in this opinion or should I set price 
aside and just enjoy building it and then try to convince myself that it 
represents good value sitting on my shack bench next to my FT1000MP?
