[1000mp] RE:Original MP dies on SSB

Try cleaning the mic and processor control pots on the
front of the rig I have seen this on a friend of mines
vintage 1000mp. His rig had not been adjusted since he
installed it into his station new. I went over their
and sure of enough the controls had gotton dirtied up
from being in one place all those years. I cleaned the
controls with some tv tuner cleaner and blue stuff
that I had left over from ys back and that took care
of the problem. This of course is not saying this is
your problem but it never hurts to try it He had what
you are talking about
