[1000mp] Mk V Field, strange behaviour!

Dear Crew:
A speculation:
One of the significant features of the 1000MP MkV (and almost surely the
Field) is the capability to adjust a fixed time delay between key closure
and RF output. The major use of this pure delay is to make sure that all
relays in a power amplifier have switched before RF arrives.
To add to KG7MZ's hypothesis, if one were to add some pure delay the
receiver would have more time to go cold and the problem might go away.
Look for the menu item that sets this delay. I use more delay than the
factory setting.
Let us know if this helps.
