Hi Andy:

After I put in the roofing filter, I reduced the setting by one to bring the 
S meter reading back to what it was before the install. I used one of the 
Electocraft test oscillators that put out 50 or 1microvolt as my reference. 
I must admit it was tempting to just take the extra bit of gain but in the 
end I decided to keep the overall gain of the radio as it came from the 
factory.
