I do just that. With the MFJ-1026 I can work 160 and 80 using the RF-OUT to
supply the MAIN ANTENNA for the MFJ. [That would be the transmitting
antenna. I have a separate sense antenna (one of my other 80 or 40 meter
antennas passing through a "Front End Saver" going in the AUX input. The FES
is needed to keep from burning out the MFJ AUX input.
One can use an alternate to this and have the transmitting antenna be the
sense antenna. In this case you run the RF OUT to the AUX port of the MFJ
and your various 'listening'antennas into the MAIN port of the MFJ (use the
FES for this input).
In both cases the output of the MFJ goes in to the RF-IN jack of the
FT1000MP.
Nulls tend to be sharp and are best discovered by running very low signals
into the noise canceller. Set the AUX GAIN and the MAIN GAIN very low until
you have discovered the correct phase for nulling. The adjust the levels to
get best signal with least noise.
