[1000mp] Frequency Accuracy/Stability

I would like to increase the overall accuracy and stability (time and
temperature) of my FT-1000MP. Any recommendations on the possibility
of adding a small oven on the main oscillator?
Or what about some sort of scheme that would allow frequency control
from an external source (such as the good time base in an ovenized
counter, etc)? The main problem I see here is that the MP's frequency
is 10.48576----not exactly easy to generate from a typical standard
frequency.
I know that the TCXO-4 and -6 are available, but even -6 is at best 0.5
PPM from 0-50 C, and an oven will be better than that and almost
totally eliminate the temperature drift if the oven is powered on 24/7.
Any thought or comments would be appreciated.
