Well, we can deduce that the new FTDX9000 will have two receivers and
probably will put out 4 or 5 hundred watts, given the P.O. scale on the
meter. Interesting that Vertex/Standard is digging up the old "DX"
designator for the new rig. I haven't seen that since the 1970's.
Some of the guys on the Icom reflector are going to be bummed, since
according to them, Yaesu and Kenwood should just give up trying to
manufacture HF gear in the face of the new $10,000.00 IC-7800, which next to
the IC-756Pro 2, is the "finest transceiver ever made."
